Description

Gateron EF Grayish is a heavy tactile mechanical keyboard switch—the component beneath each keycap that determines feedback and sound. Its firmer bump provides pronounced physical confirmation without a click mechanism.

Key materials are POM stem, PC top housing, nylon bottom housing. Specifications include 59 ± 10 gf operating force, 2 ± 0.5 mm pre-travel, 3.4 mm max total travel. The switch is factory-lubed for more consistent movement. Its higher resistance emphasizes the tactile bump for users who prefer pronounced feedback.

This is a contact-based MX switch, not an optical or Hall Effect model. Before ordering, check that your keyboard and PCB accept 5-pin MX switches. Sold individually.

Exactly what I expected

The switches arrived in good condition, all of them work. My keyboard isn't that well isolated so their sound is different, but that's not QwertyKey's problem. They arrived quickly too. I'm satisfied.

Really heavy tactile

If you're looking for some heavy tactile switches that sound good, these are wonderful. I really like the sound, which takes me back to the marble sound from my childhood. I replaced the red linear switches that came with the Asus ROG Azoth keyboard.
