Description

Gateron Optical Yellow is a linear optical keyboard switch—the mechanism beneath each keycap in a compatible optical keyboard. Instead of the metal contacts found in a conventional mechanical switch, it uses infrared optical sensing to register a press while retaining smooth travel with no tactile bump or click.

The Yellow variant has a 35 cN operating force and 4 mm total travel. Its KS-15 construction uses a POM stem, transparent polycarbonate top housing, black nylon bottom housing, and support for SMD lighting.

Important: it is not compatible with regular mechanical keyboards or Hall Effect keyboards. Order only if your keyboard explicitly supports Gateron optical switches. Sold individually.
