Gateron Oil King Purple is a silent tactile mechanical keyboard switch—the component beneath each keycap that determines keypress feedback. Its bump remains noticeable, while damping reduces bottom-out and return noise.

Key materials are POM stem, nylon top housing, INK bottom housing. Specifications include 55 ± 15 gf operating force, 1.5 ± 0.5 mm pre-travel, 3.8 mm total travel, 20 mm black-plated spring. The switch is factory-lubed for more consistent movement. It combines an early tactile bump with damping rings for clear feedback at a lower sound level.

This is a contact-based MX switch, not an optical or Hall Effect model. Before ordering, check that your keyboard and PCB accept 5-pin MX switches. Sold individually.
